The Masquerade Ball: A Tangled Blessings Expansion

Dear Student, we have the honour to inform you that you have been cordially invited to The Alumni-Hosted Masquerade Ball!

Hosted at the end of the third year, the Alumni-Hosted Masquerade Ball is an annual event for Brackroot academy. Formally, the Masquerade Ball is a time for networking and celebration for their students and graduates, however, it has a darker reputation. While the Academy’s staff prepares to celebrate and show off the academy, the event has also become an opportunity for those who wish to ruin the school’s reputation.

From secret societies, creepy cults and maniacal mages, those who have the means and motive, turn all their attention to ruining the festivities with often deadly consequences. Previous Masquerade Balls have seen their students be turned into puppets, the punch mutate into a sludge creature, and the musicians hypnotise the dance floor, but surely nothing can go wrong this year.

The Masquerade Ball is an expansion to Tangled Blessings by Cassi Mothwin, made for the Tangled Blessing Game Jam. It was inspired by the Masquerade Ball mentioned at the end of year 3 and by the desire to be trapped in a time loop with my Rival.
