Opening Night

It's opening night and the audience is waiting. Will you succeed or will you flop? Only time can tell.

Opening Night is a solo TTRPG about running a musical on the West End. Try and balance the audience numbers with your theatre’s capacity, try and keep your show’s prestige high and keep the audience’s exhaustion from growing. The show must go on, and with the amount of money a theatre production costs, the show must also make you money! 

Opening Night uses the Standing Ovation SRD and was made as part of the Standing Ovation SRD Jam.

To play this game, you will need:

1) A journal, or other place to write your character’s experiences.

2) A Tarot deck, separated into Minor and Major Arcana to begin with. If you don’t have a physical tarot deck, you can find many websites and apps that will generate a tarot deck for you such as “Virtual Tarot” by Shrimp Brew. 

3) A pile of D6s. For the best experience, have a pile of them. If you don’t have enough, make sure to keep a tally of the amount you’ve used.
